Andrew's house in Adelaide

We started out this morning about 8:00... headed for the main road to catch the bus to the University.  The weather is cooler than I expected.  It's very crisp and dry air.  The flowers all over town are lovely.  Everyone keeps their front gardens so neatly done.  We watched the postman deliver mail from his scooter.  He just rides down the sidewalk and stops at the gates where the boxes are to "pop" in the mail.  We walked across the campus getting a mini tour as we headed for class. All the Adventure Ed. students (about 60) made a presentation about their adventure trips and what the experience meant to them.   We were welcomed into the group and it was great fun seeing the friends' exchange with one another.  They each had very unique ways to share their information.   This was an all day affair.  At noon they cooked up a "barbie" on the grounds.  Several of the kids did the cooking.  It was a real "Aussie" barbecue.  We skipped the afternoon session and headed into town.   We went to the bank to exchange our money.  It's a good exchange rate now for the American tourist.  When the Asian market fell the Australian dollar fell about 6 percent. We found the bus information center to get directions to head out to Salisbury Primary School tomorrow.  We explored Rummel Mall and the Botanical Garden and saw where Andrew had lived in the hospital wing.  We stopped at the other campus of the university and visited the computer lab.  Rus and I were getting great practice for the back packs!!  Our shoulders feel it just from the daypacks.

Dinner with
the Roberts

We explored the exhibit at Tandanya, the Aboriginal Cultural Center.  Our feet were glad when we finally made it to the restaurant to meet the Roberts.   This is the family Andrew had met in Arizona. We ate in a Greek restaurant and Andrew interpreted our meal selection.  It was a wonderful meal and great company.  I was so glad to finally meet them and thank them for being so kind to Andrew.   We lingered over dinner quite awhile and then crossed the street for ice cream before "allowing" them to give us a lift home!!! We returned about 11:00 p.m..... did not pass go or collect $200 but fell DIRECTLY into bed!!!  Jane
