Telephones Our telephones are answered by staff members from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. After hours, our answering service receives all calls and directs them to the physician who is either on night or weekend duty. We ask that all non-emergency calls be made during our regular office hours. This enables us to assist you better since only during the day do we have prompt access to your medical records. Since your surgeon operates in mornings, they will return your calls in the afternoon unless it is an emergency. If an emergency does arise, call the office and one of our surgeons will return your call. If it becomes necessary for you to go to an emergency room, tell the emergency room personnel the name of your surgeon. They will then contact Surgical Associates of Southwest Florida.
